This page is to record all the simple things that work for me …….. maybe they’ll work for you too!
1. Be organised with my water bottles – having water bottles filled at the start of the day, so I can easily monitor how much I am drinking really helps. Filling 3 x 750mL bottles with water with a squeeze of lemon or lime juice is a tasty alkalysing option.
2. Keep supportive people around me on this journey.
3. To get back into meditation, do it for only 5 – 10 minutes at a time as many times through the day as I can.
4. It’s good to use resources like “You Can Heal Your Life” or “The Body is the Barometer of the Soul” as tools to help uncover issues that might shed some light on a physical condition. If the explanations don’t feel quite right, adjust them until they do (realise though that discomfort usually means that there’s something deeper to look at).
5. Sometimes it’s enough simply to acknowledge an issue – shining a bit of light on it may be all that it needs.
6. Take responsibility for what I do and when I do it, so that I reap the benefits in terms of a healthier body.
7. Be more conscious in my thoughts and actions, so that I become more aware of those things that are “automatic” or “programmed” reactions that are holding me back. Consciously introduce more positive mind chatter, especially around my view of my body image, but also in the verbal patterning I create for myself overall.
8. Make sure that I have breakfast with some protein so that my energy levels and mood are more balanced throughout the day.
9. Listen to my intuition more and trust what it tells me.
10. When feeling crappy, get out and help someone else. It will stop me being so self-absorbed and wallowing in my own energy.
11. Make a spreadsheet each week with the things I want to focus on – get the kids involved in colouring in the squares to help keep me accountable.
12. Exercise first thing in the morning whenever possible – it’s done and sets me up for a day of good, positive choices.
13. Get a bra that fits properly when the weight comes off.
.
Issues I need to work on and don’t want to lose track of:
1. Self-sabotage in all its forms.
2. Look into using Emotional Freedom Technique / Tapping for beating myself up when I fall off the wagon and for guilty feelings when food is left uneaten on my plate.
7. Look into the role of conscious breathing
